In February 2009, Crescent Ridge Corporate Center was awarded LEED Gold Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) under LEED’s Existing Building System. The LEED goals include maximizing efficiency while minimizing the environmental impacts of a property. The LEED Existing Building Operation & Maintenance System (EBOM) helps building owners and managers implement sustainable operations and maintenance practices to reduce the environmental impact of a building over the building’s life cycle. It addresses whole building operational issues such as: cleaning, including the related chemicals used, recycling and waste management, energy efficiency, and sustainable site and exterior maintenance.

Green performance has environmental, economic, and social elements that benefit all of us – including each person that works within a green facility. We have measured and studied Crescent Ridge Corporate Center’s operations, adopted green operations and practices, and aligned ourselves with vendor partners who are committed to sustainable operations. These green initiatives have been implemented and we will continue to adopt best practices as they emerge.

Attached is a brief overview of LEED and the operations and maintenance goals that you will notice or may have already noticed at Crescent Ridge Corporate Center.
