Parking

Crescent Ridge Corporate Center provides a surface lot and parking ramp, which are open to tenants at all times. The parking ramp is open 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Any extended parking needs to be approved by the Property Management Office.

Visitor and 15 minute parking stalls are available for the convenience of your daily guests and visitors. Please park appropriately so this amenity is available for your customers.

Contract parkers have access to the underground garage (a 55-stall executive parking garage that enters and exits off the Highway 73 side of the building) 7-days-a-week, 365 days a year by using their garage access cards. If after-hours assistance is required, an intercom to the security desk is mounted on the exterior of the entrance doors and also near the parking gates as you exit. Maximum vehicle height clearance is 8 feet.

Safety and security are prime concerns in our parking facilities. The garage is equipped with surveillance equipment, an alarm and assistance station intercoms. In addition, security staff patrols the garage regularly. A security escort to your car is available upon request by calling the security desk at 952-847-2410.

Since the parking ramp and garage facilities are one-way trafficked, we ask that you always proceed with caution and travel at minimal speed.

Crescent Ridge also offers preferred parking for Commuters and Alternative Fuel Vehicles. The reserved spaces are located on the upper level of the parking ramp.

Commuter Parking

Preferred parking for car/van-poolers is managed through Metro Transit / 494 Commuter Services.

Eligibility:

  • Tenants must carpool at least three (3) days/per week, on average, to be eligible to use the preferred parking spaces.
  • Tenants can park in the preferred spaces only on days they carpool to work.
  • Tenants can carpool with co-workers, employees at nearby companies, spouses, friends, etc., as long as the total distance the carpool travels is less than it would have been if each carpooler traveled separately.

Most people carpool with others who live within 5 miles of their home and 1-2 mils of their work -- the idea is that not only does carpooling save the poolers money but it should also reduce traffic congestion and the resulting air pollution.

How to Enroll:

  • Complete and return the Car Pool Register form to 494 Commuter Services. The form can be obtained from Security (1st floor) or downloaded from www.494corridor.org (opens in new window) (under 'Carpool').
  • One permit is issued per carpool, so if you switch cars the permit has to go with the car. Metro Transit / 494 Commuter Services will send the first person listed on the Car Pool Register form the permit within 2 weeks of submitting the form. The Car Pool Register form is sent to 494 Commuter Services but Metro Transit issues the permit - watch for an envelope from Metro Transit!
  • The permit is good for 6 months. Metro Transit will mail a renewal form in the 5th month to ALL members of the carpool. Any changes to the carpool or individual pooler’s information should be updated on one form and sent back to Metro Transit.

Benefits of Carpooling:

  • Save money on gas! Not to mention wear and tear on your vehicle, maintenance, repairs, etc.
  • Reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality.
  • Free GUARANTEED RIDE HOME program from Metro Transit. This program offers 4 free taxi rides home in the event of an emergency or unexpected schedule change. (Sign up on the Car Pool Register Form - located above company information section.)
  • A closer spot to the door at Crescent Ridge!

How Do I Find Others to Carpool With?

  • 494 Commuter Services can match you with others who have a similar commute. Complete and return the form in the 'Free Transportation Resources' brochure (located as security). Check carpooling on the form and provide all information - including your work hours, so 494 Commuter Services can find others with similar schedules.
  • 494 Commuter Services will provide you with a list of people who match your commute criteria. It is then up to you to contact the people on the list. Receiving the list doesn’t obligate you to begin carpooling.
  • New people are added to the carpooling database regularly; so if you don’t start carpooling from your initial list contact 494 Commuter Services for an updated list!

Alternative Fuel Vehicle Preferred Parking

Preferred parking for alternative fuel vehicles includes low emission and fuel efficient vehicles (which are endorsed by the US Green Building Council's LEED programs). LEED's intention with the preferred parking is to reduce pollution and land development impacts from conventional (single occupant, conventional fuel) automobile use. The eligibility criteria includes alternative-fuel, low-emitting, and fuel-efficient" vehicles. These vehicles are those that are classified as zero-emission vehicles (ZEV's) by the California Air Resources Board or that have achieved a minimum green score of '40' on the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy annual vehicle-rating guide. You can check your vehicle rating by visiting: www.driveclean.ca.gov (opens in new window) and using the vehicle search on the home page.

If your vehicle meets (or exceeds) these classifications please register your vehicle with building management in order to receive an Alternative Fuel Vehicle permit for the preferred parking area.

In order to register please provide the management office with the following information:

  • Name
  • Company Name & Suite Number
  • Vehicle make, model and year
  • Vehicle license plate #
  • Phone number

Once registered, On-Site security will issue you a parking permit. Displaying the permit will allow you to park in the preferred parking area, but does not guarantee you a specific parking space.
